I remember watching bullriding on TNN years and years ago, and they
did a special behind the scenes look on an episode one time. They went
backstage and showed what happens to bull riders after they're done
riding bulls. They talked about getting massages to ease sore muscles
and it showed one bull rider lying down and getting electric shocks.
They said the electric shocks were a form of massage and the bull
rider said without that he wouldn't be able to get out of bed in the
morning.

What was that they used on the bull rider? I have never heard of that
kind of massage before or since. Was it real? Do they really do
electric shocks on people like that?

i just had ACL surgery due to a calf roping accident and in physical
therapy they hook-up electric stimulaters to increase circulation and
reduce swelling. You feel a small pulsating buzz. maybe that's what
you're talking about.
